Test video

This is a test video created in the process of showing a class how to record and upload a video using youtube. It also serves the purpose of showing said class that it is not embarrassing to upload a serious video on a school subject, and that no matter what their videos won't be more embarrassing than this one :-)

Tools

So here are a few tools I recommend for my students:

www.ordbogen.com - English-Danish, Danish-English etc. dictionary
www.merriam-webster.com - English-English dictionary
www.restudy.com - simplify text (copy-paste or link to website). (Thanks to http://111variation.blogspot.dk/ for the tip on this one.)

Creating a blog with blogger.com

The process of setting up your blog is quite easy.

  1. Go to www.blogger.com
  2. If you already have a Google/Gmail account, you can log in with that account and get started. If not, go through the "Sign up" process to get an account.
  3. Once you're logged in you will see your main Blogger page - on the left side click "New blog".
  4. Give your blog a title - it must include your name, class, "English" and "Gefion"
  5. Choose and address - and send it to me in a Lectio message
  6. Choose a template - if you want to, you can play with the look of the blog, but what matters in English class, is what you write.
  7. Once you've created the blog, you will see it on your main Blogger page - click on the blog and you will see an overview.
  8. Click on "New Post" (left side of the screen).
  9. Write what you have been asked to write (remember to give the blog post a proper title).
  10. When you're done writing, click "Publish".
